Position Overview
Support the Health and Safety team with communication with enrolled students, data entry, and other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will fulfill the following:
  • Be able to manage detailed projects with responsibility and autonomy
  • Have proficient to strong Excel and database skills
  • Be available to work both during the
    academic year and during university breaks (i.e., time off around holidays and breaks is no problem, but we are open year-round)

Position Type & Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time, non-exempt, and non-benefited position. It will be paid on an hourly basis at $14.00 an hour. This is an in-person position with the possibility of some remote work.
General Responsibilities
  • Perform data entry, audit online databases, and other clerical work
  • Create emergency contact lists and update regularly
  • Process student forms
  • Upload health and safety documents
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements
  • Current UNR student
  • Available to work 10-19 hours a week
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Highly preferred: alumnus of a USAC program and/or international study/travel experience
  • MUST be proficient in Excel

Qualifications & Skills
  • Advanced level of written and oral communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and well organized, with a knowledge of and appreciation for study abroad
  • Experience with Excel, including the ability to create spreadsheets and work with data in spreadsheets
  • Experience using and editing Word and PowerPoint
  • Prefer someone with demonstrated experience or interest in student health and wellness
  • Ability to work as part of a team

Work Environment & Physical Demands
The duties of this job are mainly performed in a regular office environment with occasional small trips outdoors. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk throughout the building. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
