Travel is required as this position may be located at one of our projects with locations including: Kentucky, Ohio, Georgia, Texas, Oklahoma, Washington and other states.  

Per-diem is available to help cover temporary living expenses for candidates who the eligibility criteria. Depending on project availability, once your time on this project ends, you may be transferred to the next project in a different state.

Here's how a Solar Site Materials Coordinator for PCL Solar Constructors USA Inc. within Solar USA contributes to our team:

Responsibilities
  • Assists in training and mentoring other material coordinators and tradespeople on department procedures, project plans and systems.
  • Completes assigned entries into the material/tool management systems.
  • Creates requisitions and blanket order releases for temporary materials and services.
  • Submits approved requisitions to procurement for action and blanket order releases to supplier for action.
  • Document equipment condition upon deliver and again when off renting with both pictures and inspection sheet.
  • Assist Supervisor in Managing equipment repairs and down time tracking. Coordinate with internal and external mechanics on repair needs, location, and status.
  • Completes issuing/pick ticket system transactions.
  • Completes preservation, preventative maintenance (PM), and certification transactions. 
  • Manages material documentation in alignment with project plans.
  • Prepared for and participates in internal/external compliance audits as required.
  • Conducts assigned material management audits as required and reports findings.
  • Communicates material management procedures to project personnel.
  • Assists in the analysis of existing systems for effectiveness and suggests areas for improvement. Participates in system testing and implementation.
  • Develops and maintains strong customer focused relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Values and models the solution provider and profitability culture.
  • Other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma and/or working towards a postsecondary diploma/degree in a related discipline (e.g., supply chain management, procurement, logistics, warehouse distribution).
  • General construction knowledge; understands specifications, drawings, bills of material, methods and procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of commonly used construction materials, permanent/nonpermanent materials, services, tools, and equipment.
  • Awareness of project logistics, toolcrib setup, and organization and best practices.
  • Basic understanding of supply chain process, project life cycle, materials management best practices, PCL procedures, and risk.
  • Strong verbal and written (expression and comprehension) communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, and diplomatically.
  • Strong drive, time management, and sense of urgency. Ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Work location mobility often required.
  • Strong computer literacy; experience with relevant tools and technology (software and hardware); will be key user of programs and may be required to coach others.
