Job description

We are seeking a skilled Irrigation Repair Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of irrigation systems across all our properties. This includes installing and repairing complex components, troubleshooting problem areas, and performing water audits. You will also be responsible for maintaining an inventory of repair parts and keeping accurate records of all functions. This role offers a base pay of $50k-$55k, with the potential to earn up to $60k-$70k after commission.

Responsibilities
  • Repair complex components of irrigation and sprinkler systems.
  • Identify and troubleshoot problem areas with irrigation systems and make necessary repairs.
  • Perform water audits and adjust watering schedules and irrigation programming based on audit results.
  • Explain and interpret specifications, blueprints, and drainage of irrigation systems to lower-level personnel.
  • Maintain an inventory of repair parts for all related equipment.
  • Keep accurate records of all functions.
  • Set watering schedules for all irrigation systems based on plant, soil, and environmental conditions.
  • Coordinate watering schedules for functions that take place at our properties with Account & Property Managers.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Understanding of equipment used for backflow prevention.
  • AWWA Certification as a general tester for backflow prevention equipment (preferred).
  • Backflow preventer certified.(preferred)
  • Ability to operate a keyboard, read and understand irrigation plans, residential development plans, and street maps.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to operate hand power tools and small backhoes and trenchers.
  • Pass pre employment drug screen
  • Authorized to work in USA, E-Verify check will be required 
Compensation

Base Pay: $50k-$55k
Potential Pay After Commission: $60k-$70k
Additional Earned Commission: Paid monthly

Physical Effort and Working Conditions

This role may require physically demanding manual work, including lifting, pushing or pulling heavy objects, shoveling, hoeing, raking, standing on ladders, climbing, standing and walking for sustained periods of time, and operating, repairing, and maintaining various irrigation equipment. You may also be subject to adverse weather conditions, toxic agents, and hazards associated with the operation of various motor-driven and hand-held power tools and equipment.
