Responsibilities
The pediatrician will provide comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents, diagnosing and treating a wide range of childhood illnesses and conditions. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative and supportive environment.ย
Key Responsibilities:ย
- Perform routine wellness examinations and developmental screenings.
- Diagnose and treat a variety of acute and chronic childhood illnesses, injuries, and infections.
- Provide immunizations according to CDC guidelines andย maintainย accurateย vaccination records.
- Counsel patients and familiesย onย proper nutrition, hygiene, growth, and development.
- Monitor and document patient progress andย maintainย thorough medical records.
- Coordinate care with specialists and other healthcare providers as needed.
- Educate parents/guardians about medical conditions and preventative healthcare.
- Adhereย to medical ethics and patient confidentialityย
- Participateย inย weekend coverageย rotationsย
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Completion of an accredited pediatric residency program.
- Board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics
- Valid and unrestrictedย Alabamaย medical license
- Current DEA registration.
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.
