Certification and experience can enhance employability in this field.

Will AI replace CNC programmers?

AI can assist CNC programmers by optimizing tool paths and automating routine tasks, but it is unlikely to fully replace skilled CNC programmers who require expertise in machine setup, troubleshooting, and process optimization. Human oversight remains essential for complex or custom manufacturing jobs, and programming skills are still in demand to ensure precision and quality. AI tools are more likely to augment rather than replace the role of CNC programmers in the near future.
