Warehouse Associate - Forklift Driver
Baytown, TX
Schedule : Wednesday - Saturday 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Pay: $19.96 per hour

Job Summary

The Warehouse Associate - Forklift Driver is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations including receiving, shipping, inventory management, order fulfillment, and material handling. This role ensures inventory accuracy, timely product movement, and adherence to safety standards while operating powered material handling equipment. The ideal candidate has warehouse experience, forklift operating skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and process inbound freight to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Prepare, verify, and ship outbound freight according to established procedures.
  • Replenish inventory in designated warehouse and self-service locations.
  • Pick, stage, and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently to meet delivery requirements.
  • Utilize warehouse technology and inventory management systems to track inventory movements and maintain accurate records.
  • Operate powered material handling equipment including reach trucks, forklifts, and powered pallet jacks.
  • Load, unload, move, stack, and organize materials throughout the warehouse.
  • Operate a cardboard baler to process and dispose of recyclable materials.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety, security, and operational procedures.
  • Assist with inventory counts, stock replenishment, and warehouse organization activities.
  • Support shipping, receiving, and general warehouse functions as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of warehouse, logistics, distribution, or related experience.
  • Recent experience operating a reach truck is required.
  • Experience operating forklifts, powered pallet jacks, or other powered material handling equipment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain powered industrial equipment certification.
  • Basic inventory control and warehouse management knowledge.
  • Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
  • Basic computer and inventory system experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of recent warehouse, logistics, shipping and receiving, or material handling experience.
  • Recent reach truck operation experience required.
  • Experience with inventory management, order picking, and freight handling preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment preferred.

Additional Job Details

  • Steel-toed shoes are required.
  • Must adhere to workplace dress code requirements.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, and perform physical warehouse activities throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to safely operate powered warehouse equipment and follow all safety procedures.
