PURPOSE:
The Grain Division is looking for a Belt Shop Technician who will provide support to the IBT Branch Customers by processing and fulfilling Production Shop Orders from the IRS Grain Division.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Interact with the IRS Group to understand and process Production Shop Orders in an accurate and timely manner to meet customer deadlines.
  • Learn, understand, and safely operate the Belt Processing Equipment such as the Hydraulic Belt Slitter, Hydraulic Belt Punch, Belt Lacing Equipment along with other Belt Production Hand Tools.
  • Learn, understand, and safely operate warehouse equipment such as Fork Trucks, Overhead Cranes, etc.
  • Receive and Inspect inbound product shipments from suppliers. Package and palletize outbound shipments to customers. Unload and load shipments in box trailers and flatbed trailers.
  • Utilize Quality Control methods to insure quality products and production standards.
  • Inventory organization ongoing and daily.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices along with other Warehouse duties.
  • Continuous personal growth as a productive member of the IRS Team
  • Learn and understand IBT's commitment to quality and the service provided to our customers.
  • This position will interact and handle industrial rubber products and adhesives, all appropriate Personal Protection Equipment will be provided by the company.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Working knowledge of Belt Production and Handling Equipment
  • Ability to do manual lifting, 75-100 pounds
  • Ability to read and write English. Read and understand dimensional prints/drawings along with intermediate Math skills (Metric and US)
  • Ability to read measuring tools such as Calipers and Tape Measure/Rulers (Metric and US)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Motivated and positive professional with the ability to collaborate and work well with other team members and continuously self-improve to grow with our team
  • Good customer interaction skills and personal hygiene are a must
  • Attendance and Punctuality is paramount.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED WORK HOURS
This is a full-time position with a typical work schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., however hours may vary by location. There may be times where there is an expectation to work extended hours as dictated by business needs.
