Job description

The Office of Undergraduate Research and Scholarly Activity (URSA) is seeking enthusiastic Student Ambassadors to inspire and engage students from all disciplines in undergraduate research and scholarly activity. Working alongside the URSA Coordinator, Student Ambassadors support recruitment and outreach efforts by staffing events, creating promotional content, connecting with fellow students, and sharing information about URSA opportunities. If you are a current or former URSA participant who is passionate about undergraduate research and enjoys connecting with others both in person and online, we encourage you to apply!
The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about undergraduate research, enjoys connecting with others, and is passionate about sharing URSA opportunities with fellow students. Success in this role comes from being approachable, creative, and proactive while representing URSA at campus events, creating engaging communications, and encouraging student involvement in research and scholarly activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
1) Be enrolled in at least 6 UA credits.
2) Have at least a 2.3 GPA.
3) Completed at least one full academic year at UAF.
4) Completed at least one URSA funded award project.
5) Students of all disciplines (arts/humanities AND STEM) are encouraged to apply.
Position Details:
This is a part-time student position. Hourly rate starts at $16.20
