Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant- Permanent Position

Location: Hayesville, NC 28904
Assignment Duration: Permanent
Open to Local & Travel Candidates

Position Highlights:

  • Shift: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
  • Guaranteed Hours: 35 hours per week
  • Pay Rate: $28 -$35/hr

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team on a permanent basis. As a COTA, you will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide high-quality therapy services and help patients achieve their highest level of independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in carrying out individualized treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions to improve patients' ability to perform daily activities.
  • Document patient progress and report changes to the Occupational Therapist.
  • Collaborate with the OT, interdisciplinary team, patients, and families to ensure effective care.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on techniques to enhance daily living and mobility.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in team meetings, in-service training, and continuous education programs.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical experience (new grads welcome).
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Travel & Local Considerations:

  • Candidates residing 50 miles from the facility are eligible for travel pay.
