Job description

About the Role:

We are urgently hiring a Manual Lathe Operator to join our 1st shift production team. This is a critical position and we are looking for someone who can operate manual lathes and mills independently, read blueprints, and produce high-quality precision parts.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate manual vertical & horizontal turret lathes 
  • Support complementary equipment such as keyseaters, mills, presses, and saws
  • Assist with CNC lathe, mill, and plasma cutting operations
  • Use digital and dial readouts
  • Read and interpret blueprints and production orders
  • Measure, mark, cut, and finish parts to spec
  • Verify tight tolerances using micrometers, calipers, gauges
  • Perform deburring, cleanup, and final inspections
  • Troubleshoot basic issues with manual machines
  • Keep work area clean, organized, and safe
  • Assist production team as needed to meet deadlines


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of manual machining experience
  • Strong experience machining steels: A36, 1018, 1045, 4140, 304, 316
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Ability to hold tight tolerances
  • Comfortable using micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges
  • Ability to work independently and meet production standards
  • Forklift experience preferred


Work Environment

  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and heavy machinery
  • Standing, lifting, and repetitive movement required
  • Team-oriented, safety-focused environment
