Description
Samson, the worldwide leader in high performance cordage, is seeking an Accounts Payable, who will perform the day-to-day processing and monitoring of accounts payable transactions in an accurate, detailed manner. Responsible for practicing a high level of business ethics and professionalism and adhering to safety and quality guidelines in support of Samson strategy and core values.
This is an in-person position located in our corporate headquarters in Ferndale, WA.

  • You can work your way around a computer and MS Office with ease and learning new software and complex systems doesn't scare you.
  • A math person who likes working with numbers.
  • You enjoy working independently and rolling up your sleeves to help team members when needed.
  • Excellent communicator with skills in verbal and written communications.
  • Customer-focused and able to deliver excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Comfortable with managing processes that may be complex in nature.
  • Able to critically analyze workflows and make recommendations on changes in approach, concepts, and the design of solutions.

  • You can keep customer and business information confidential.

What You'll Do:
  • Accurately process supplier invoices.
  • Process electronic payments and check runs.
  • Maintain Supplier database
  • Manage Corporate Credit Card Program
  • File monthly Sales Tax Returns
  • Prepare annual Forms 1099.

What You Should Have:
  • Education (preferred qualification) : AA or AS in Business or equivalent
  • Experience (required qualification) : Three (3) years of Accounts Payable experience in a high-volume environment.

Targeted hiring range: $24 - $26 per hour

Samson has established wage scales for all of our positions, which are based on a minimum and maximum. The targeted hiring rate above is set to allow for employee's growth within the role. The full range for this position is $22.12 (min) - $33.18 (max) per hour.
