Job description

Reverse Logistics Planning team in Amazon Devices delivers world-class supply planning services and accurate forecast guidance to support seamless customer experience, sustainability and maximum asset recovery for Amazon Devices.
We are responsible for guiding millions of returned products through the reverse supply chain. This role is critical for our reverse supply chain operations and has outsized impact on all our downstream plans, guides strategic decision making, and our financial plans.
In this highly visible role, you will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of returned products globally - from forecasting returns and warranty replacements to supply planning, materials planning and inventory management.
You will work with Engineering, Operations, Suppliers, Finance and Sales teams to ensure our customers' needs are met for warranty and other sales channels while maintaining healthy inventory.
You will be a thought partner to supply chain operations leaders, an effective mediator between multiple functions, and possess exceptional communication skills.
You will develop and present innovative solutions to enable a lean and uninterrupted supply chain, accelerate value recovery for customer needs, cost reduction and healthy inventory management.
You will shape custom tools and software that is developed for your unique use cases.
You will identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities in supply planning and forecasting processes and pioneer new ways to automate and simplify our processes.
You will own key planning metrics such as Forecast accuracy, Supply planning accuracy, and Inventory Health, and Inventory Excess & Obsolescence.
Key job responsibilities
Generate Amazon Devices returns and warranty replacement forecasts and communicate to internal and external partners
Run sales and operations planning process for assigned products to fulfill warranty requirements
Monitor refurbished inventory health to ensure efficient inventory globally
Develop and present supply and inventory strategies to execute new product launches
Assist with new product forecast strategy with the NPI team to successfully launch new programs in all regions
Manage product lifecycle analysis and forecasting from NPI launch, Sustaining to EOL stages and gain buy-in from stakeholders
Be the single point of contact for sales partners in supply planning, forecasting, performance tracking and reporting
Partner with finance on annual operational planning, supply planning and forecasting processes
Own and drive forecasting and planning metrics including forecast accuracy, planning accuracy, sales attainment, and return rates
Work with stakeholders to improve forecast accuracy and drive and influence decisions on return rate reviews
Identify improvement opportunities in planning and forecasting processes and lead cross-functional improvement efforts
Develop, own and monitor planning accuracy and efficiency metrics
