Position Summary
Position Summary:
St. Johns River State College is accepting applications for a
Radiologic Technology Instructor based on the St. Augustine campus. This full-time faculty position is responsible for teaching and supporting students in the Radiologic Technology program, which is accredited by JRCERT. Courses to be taught may include: RTE 1000C, RTE 1385, RTE 1418C, RTE 1503C, RTE 1513C, RTE 1804, RTE 2061, RTE 2573C, RTE 2613, RTE 2782C, RTE 2844, and RTE 2854. Additional responsibilities include assisting with curriculum development, instruction, evaluation, academic advising, and maintaining compliance with accreditation standards.

Duties and Responsibilities
INSTRUCTION & STUDENT SUPPORT
- Teach assigned courses in the Radiologic Technology program.
- Develop, deliver, and assess course materials in alignment with program and accreditation requirements.
- Provide academic advising and guidance to students.
- Maintain records of student performance and attendance.
- Foster a student-centered learning environment.
CURRICULUM & PROGRAM SUPPORT
- Assist in curriculum design, development, and evaluation for the program.
- Support program compliance with JRCERT accreditation standards.
- Participate in program review and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to program marketing, recruitment, and retention activities.
COLLEGE & PROFESSIONAL ENGAGEMENT
- Participate in departmental, college, and community activities.
- Maintain professional development to stay current in the field of radiology.
- Engage with professional organizations and serve as a resource for students entering the profession.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Strong instructional and communication skills.
• Knowledge of current practices and standards in radiologic technology.
• Ability to evaluate student performance fairly and consistently.
• Proficiency with course development, advising, and program evaluation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and clinical partners.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree in Radiology or a health-related field preferred.
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and registration, or equivalent, in radiography.
• Licensed by the State of Florida as a General Radiographer.
• Minimum of two years' clinical experience in radiology.
• Must pass verification of background check, employment reference, and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Radiology or health-related field.
• Teaching experience in radiologic technology.
• Experience in course development, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising.
