JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Applied Technology department is seeking a positive, supportive, and dynamic Diesel Instructor to teach a diverse community of learners. Preference will be given to candidates who are committed to student success, equity, inclusion and the use of the classroom/lab experience to enhance workplace understanding and performance.

Responsible for teaching each coursework in the NATEF Diesel Technology Program. Duties include interaction with the diesel repair and trucking industries.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

8 years full-time related occupational experience or approved Journeyworker status.
OR
4 years full-time related occupational experience and an Associate's degree in career field.
OR
2 years full-time related occupational experience and a Bachelor's degree in the discipline or in a related discipline.

Compensation: $580 per Equivalent Credit Hours (ECH)

May include day, evening and/or weekend classes and will involve travel to other campuses.

A teaching demonstration is required as part of the interview process.
Hiring process includes passing a background check.
