Job description

Experienced CNC Operator / Process Technician (Fusion 360)

For DN Solutions Lynx 2600 / Milling
Location: Bend
Monday–Friday • 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
Compensation: $28–$35 DOE
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE

Full-Time • Growth Opportunity • Direct Access to Upper Management

Summary

If you’re the kind of CNC Operator who wants more than babysitting a machine, this might be your new favorite job. We’re looking for someone who loves hands-on machining but also gets excited about process development, modeling, programming, and continuous improvement.

You’ll work directly with upper management and play a real role in shaping how our machining department grows. Our parts are simple, the DN Solutions Lynx 2600 isn’t running full-time, and that means you get something rare in this industry: actual time for Fusion 360 modeling, converting old 2D drawings into clean 3D models, and building programs for new projects.

If you want upward mobility, a stable company, and a chance to grow with a team that values your ideas, this is the place.

🔧 Key ResponsibilitiesCNC Machine Operation
  • Set up, operate, and maintain the DN Solutions (Doosan) Lynx 2600 lathe with live-tool milling.
  • Load material, set tooling, adjust offsets, and verify programs.
  • Run first-article inspections and ensure parts meet print specifications.
  • Machine simple, repeatable, stable parts—perfect for someone ready to level up beyond basic machining.
Modeling, Programming & NC File Creation (Fusion 360)
  • Use Fusion 360 to convert legacy 2D parts into accurate 3D CAD files.
  • Create and verify CAM toolpaths for turning and milling operations.
  • Generate and manage NC programs, including simulations and toolpath validation.
  • Assist with fixture design, tool selection, and process improvement.
Process Development
  • Build and maintain setup documents, revision notes, and tooling instructions.
  • Improve cycle times, tool life, and workflow efficiency.
  • Participate in meetings with upper management on productivity, process upgrades, and future equipment planning.
  • Support new project development and contribute ideas to expand the shop’s capabilities.

🚀 Why This Position Is DifferentUpward Mobility

This role is built for growth. As our machining capabilities expand, your role can grow into:

  • Lead Machinist
  • Process Engineer
  • Manufacturing Technician
  • CNC Programmer
  • Shop Supervisor
Direct Collaboration With Upper Management

You’ll have a seat at the table for:

  • New product development
  • Machining process improvements
  • Capital equipment decisions
  • Documentation standards and workflow design
Time for CAD, CAM, and Development Work

Because the Lynx 2600 isn’t running at full capacity, you’ll have dedicated time for:

  • Fusion 360 CAD work
  • Organizing and modernizing legacy parts
  • Creating new processes and tooling routes
  • Improving documentation and workflows

Perfect for someone who wants to build higher-level skills—not just push cycle start.

🎯 Qualifications Required
  • CNC lathe operation experience (DN/Doosan preferred).
  • Proficiency with Fusion 360 CAD/CAM.
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T.
  • Ability to write, edit, and troubleshoot G-code.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn and grow.
Preferred
  • Fixture design experience.
  • Experience converting 2D prints to 3D CAD.
  • Strong documentation and process-tracking habits.
  • Interest in taking on leadership responsibilities over time.

💪 Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in a machine-shop environment.

🏢 Work Environment
  • Full-time position.
  • Direct involvement with ownership and leadership.
  • Supportive environment that values development, innovation, and upward mobility.
  • Shop + dedicated office space.
