Urgently Hiring Leaf Raking Jobs in California (NOW HIRING)

Aramark Facilities Management is hiring a Groundskeeper to help maintain the outdoor appearance and safety of a secure client facility in Los Angeles. This hands-on role is ideal for candidates who enjoy working outdoors and take pride in keeping grounds clean, safe, and well maintained. Daily responsibilities include mowing, weed control, watering trees and grass, trash removal, landscaping support, and seasonal grounds maintenance. You'll use landscaping and groundskeeping equipment such as weed eaters, blowers, chainsaws, sprayers, mowers, and hand tools while working in various weather conditions. This position requires reliable attendance, attention to safety, and the ability to remain on your feet for most of the workday. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with competitive hourly pay ranging from[$23.36-$23.61 per hour].

• Maintain the appearance, cleanliness, and safety of facility grounds.
• Pull weeds, remove debris, and collect litter throughout assigned areas.
• Mow grass and maintain landscaped areas using commercial lawn equipment.
• Water trees, shrubs, grass, and other vegetation as needed.
• Perform planting, fertilizing, raking, edging, and general landscaping tasks.
• Operate groundskeeping equipment including mowers, weed eaters, blowers, chainsaws, hedge trimmers, and sprayers.
• Use hand tools such as shovels, hoes, rakes, and related landscaping equipment.
• Assist with irrigation and minor sprinkler system repairs.
• Maintain sidewalks, parking lots, driveways, and outdoor common areas.
• Support seasonal grounds maintenance, including leaf removal and weather-related cleanup.
• Perform basic inspection, cleaning, and minor maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPEReport equipment issues, hazards, or property damage to management.
• Work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions.
• May work in areas where interaction with or proximity to inmates is possible within a detention facility environment.

• Required

  • Ability to work outdoors for most of the workday in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, pull, and perform physical labor throughout the shift
  • Ability to safely operate landscaping and groundskeeping equipment
  • Basic knowledge of grounds maintenance practices and outdoor labor
  • Valid non-commercial driver's license
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • U.S. citizen
  • Strong attendance, reliability, and commitment to workplace safety
  • Ability to work Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
  • Comfortable working in a secure detention center environment.

  Preferred

  • 1+ year of groundskeeping, landscaping, horticulture, lawn care, maintenance, or outdoor labor experience
  • Experience operating chainsaws, weed eaters, blowers, riding mowers, sprayers, and related equipment
  • Experience with irrigation systems or sprinkler repairs
  • Experience maintaining commercial, municipal, government, educational, healthcare, or industrial properties

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
