Forklift Operator- Weekly Pay- Start ASAP

Location: Sioux Falls, SD

Pay: $19-$23/hour

Hours: Monday-Friday, Various Shifts Available

Job Description:

This role involves operating a sit-down forklift to safely move packaged products throughout a busy production and warehouse environment. You will work from barcodes, tickets, and Amtech systems to load and unload trucks, move product around the production floor, and support accurate inventory control using scanners and RF scan guns.

Responsibilities:

• Operate a smaller sit-down forklift safely and efficiently for the majority of the shift.
• Load and unload trucks with corrugated packaging products that are not on pallets, requiring precise and careful forklift operation.
• Move product around the production floor to support ongoing manufacturing and packaging activities.
• Work from Amtech systems, barcodes, and tickets to identify, locate, and move the correct materials.
• Use RF scanners and scan guns to track inventory, verify product information, and complete transactions in the system.

Essential Skills:

• Minimum of 6 months of recent sit-down forklift operating experience.
• Demonstrated ability to safely operate a smaller sit-down forklift for extended periods.
• Experience working with barcodes, tickets, and scanners to locate and track product.
• Proficiency using RF scanners or RF scan guns in a warehouse or production environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience working in a corrugated packaging, manufacturing, or similar production environment.
• Previous involvement in shipping and receiving, including staging and preparing orders.
• Comfort working with products that are not on pallets and require more precise forklift handling.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members on the production floor.
• Reliability and consistency in following established processes and safety procedures.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sioux Falls, SD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
