Job description

Reporting to the Plant Engineering Manager, you will provide electrical and controls engineering support for the Darien, Wisconsin manufacturing facility, ensuring alignment with manufacturing standards and control philosophies. You will partner closely with manufacturing, maintenance, engineering, and corporate teams to improve safety, quality, reliability, and productivity across one of Conagra Brands' largest operations.

This is an onsite role at our plant in Darien, Wisconsin.

A Taste of Your Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to operating and maintenance teams by troubleshooting and diagnosing issues related to programmable logic controller and human machine interface systems.

  • Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance product quality, reduce customer complaints, and ensure compliance with Food and Drug Administration and United States Department of Agriculture regulations.

  • Identify and correct unsafe conditions to improve employee safety and health and ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations.

  • Drive productivity improvements through efficiency gains, yield improvements, labor utilization enhancements, and rate improvements.

  • Ensure projects are designed, managed, and constructed in accordance with Conagra Engineering Standards including partnering with vendors and contractors.

  • Facilitate technology transfer from Corporate Engineering, Research and Development, and Manufacturing Engineering to Manufacturing Operations and Maintenance teams, ensuring effective startup execution and training plans.

  • Serve as a technical consultant to manufacturing by analyzing system and equipment failures, troubleshooting issues, and recommending maintenance actions, procedural changes, or capital improvements.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor automation and control strategies and system architecture for the Darien, Wisconsin facility.

  • Support capital projects by managing scope, budget, timelines, and startup activities.

Ingredients Required for Your Success

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.

  • 4+ years of electrical engineering experience with a focus on controls and automation.

  • Experience supporting programmable logic controller (PLC) and human machine interface (HMI) systems in a manufacturing environment.

  • Preferred experience with Rockwellbased platforms, FactoryTalk environments, supervisory control and data acquisition systems, and industrial manufacturing networks.

  • Experience working with corporate engineering or similar functions in a consumer products manufacturing environment, preferably food processing.

  • Capital project management experience, including scope definition, budget management, and startup execution.

Days in office: Onsite 5+ days per week with weekend/night support as needed.

Compensation

Pay Range:$82,000-$120,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee's actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees' equity.Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
