The UPS Store in Saint Joseph is looking for an experienced, motivated, reliable associate for a position with approximately 20-32 hours of work per week, with the ability to work afternoons and weekends required. The position has variable hours between 7am-7pm M-F, 8:30am-1:30 pm on Saturdays, and 10:30am-4:30pm on Sunday’s. Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers and determine how to exceed their expectations.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service through customer interaction and quality product delivery.
  • Ensure complete customer satisfaction.
  • Receive and sort customers' mail and packages.
  • Process packages for courier shipping, including retrieving from customer's vehicle when requested, lifting and weighing packages on scale, determining best shipping method, entering shipping information into manifesting software, affixing labels, and checking the worthiness of packages for shipping.
  • Record all sales transactions in POS system and accurately process cash, check and credit card transactions.
  • Pack contents for shipping using established procedures and products.
  • Assist in merchandising the center, including: stocking shelves with product, ensuring a clean and orderly appearance of product.
  • Operate copiers, fax machines, laminating equipment, binding equipment and all other office machines in a safe, efficient and productive manner.
  • Help customers operate office machines. - General housekeeping duties, including, but not limited to, light cleaning, filing paperwork, maintaining a clean and organized center.
  • Up-Sell and Cross-Sell the center's products and services.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to stand for several hours at a time and ability to lift 25 - 40lbs.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at once
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience
  • Ability to work with dissatisfied customers
  • Strong, confident written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient with the MS Office suite with good typing skills
  • Team player who demonstrates a positive attitude at all times
  • Excellent phone etiquette, pronunciation and a pleasant phone voice
  • Deadline driven, works well under pressure, and ability to stay calm in stressful situations
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Availability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
