Overview of Role
ZwitterCo is seeking hands-on proactive Senior Supply Chain Planner to be responsible for planning, coordinating, with the mindset to continuously improving the flow of materials from suppliers through production to customers. This role will play a critical part in balancing supply, demand, inventory, and capacity in a fast-changing environment where systems, processes, and data are often still evolving.
This position requires strong analytical skills, adaptability, and a proactive mindset. The Senior Supply Chain Planner will help build planning processes that scale with the business while supporting day-to-day operational execution.

Responsibilities:
Demand & Supply Planning
  • Develop and maintain short- and mid-term supply plans based on forecasts, sales orders, and production capacity
  • Translate demand signals into material, purchasing, and production plans
  • Monitor supply vs. demand gaps and proactively identify risks or constraints
  • Adjust plans quickly in response to changing priorities and revised forecasts

Inventory Planning & Control
  • Manage inventory levels to support production and customer demand while minimizing excess and obsolescence
  • Set and monitor inventory targets (safety stock, reorder points)
  • Analyze inventory health, turns, and usage trends
  • Support cycle counts, inventory accuracy, and reconciliation activities

Materials & Production Coordination
  • Work closely with Manufacturing, Procurement, and Engineering to align material availability with production schedules
  • Support material readiness for new product introductions (NPI) and scale-up
  • Coordinate expediting or de-expediting of materials as needed
  • Identify risks related to lead times, supplier constraints, or capacity limitations

Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, shortages, and improvement opportunities
  • Maintain planning data in ERP, MRP, or spreadsheet-based tools
  • Track key planning metrics such as on-time delivery, material shortages, inventory turns, and forecast accuracy
  • Provide clear, actionable updates to operations and leadership

Process Development & Continuous Improvement
  • Help build and improve planning processes appropriate for a growing operation
  • Document planning workflows, assumptions, and standard practices
  • Support system implementations or upgrades (ERP, MRP, planning tools)
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes while improving reliability

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Act as a central point of coordination between Sales, Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain
  • Proactively and effectively communicate with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Support scenario planning and decision-making during rapid growth or disruption

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain Management, , or related field with 7+ years of experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain planning, materials planning, production planning, or operations
  • Experience in a startup, scale-up, or fast-growth environment strongly preferred
  • Experience working with limited historical data and evolving processes a plus
  • Experience with ERP or MRP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
  • Strong Excel or spreadsheet skills; comfort working with imperfect data
  • Understanding supply chain fundamentals: lead times, BOMs, MOQ, capacity, and inventory planning
  • Data-driven mindset with strong analytical capabilities

Preferred Experience:
  • Exposure to S&OP, demand planning, or capacity planning
  • Experience supporting NPI or rapid production ramp-ups
  • Interest in growing into a senior supply chain or operations leadership role

Schedule, Travel, Compensation, and Location
This is a full-time position in Woburn, MA and will report temporarily to the VP of Operations.
Travel for this role is expected to be between 5% - 10%.
Compensation ranges from $90,000 - $115,000 annually, plus equity and benefits, depending on location and experience.
