Position Summary:

We're seeking a reliable and motivated Donations Pick-Up Truck Driver Helper to assist in collecting donations from our generous community supporters. As the Driver Helper, you'll partner with the driver to load, unload, and transport donated items safely and efficiently. This role is essential to ensuring donations reach our ReStores and contribute to our mission.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Donations Pick-Up Truck Driver in navigating to scheduled donation pick-up locations.
  • Load and unload donations, ensuring safe handling and proper care of items.
  • Interact with donors courteously, providing excellent customer service and representing Habitat's values.
  • Secure donations in the truck to prevent damage during transit.
  • Help maintain a clean and organized truck for safe and efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with the ReStore team to process donations upon arrival.

Schedule:

  • General work hours are 8:30 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday
  • Occasional evening and weekend hours required

Requirements

  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy items (75lbs) regularly.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills for assisting the driver and interacting with donors.
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to Habitat for Humanity's mission and values.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and tasks as needed.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, moving, or logistics role is a plus but not required.
