Position Overview:
ACE Homecare is seeking compassionate and dependable Caregivers to join our growing Wilmington team. We provide non-medical (unskilled) homecare services under our PASA license, supporting clients in the comfort of their own homes throughout New Castle and Kent Counties.
At ACE Homecare, our mission is to promote independence, dignity, and safety while ensuring smooth transitions and strong communication with case managers, referral partners, and families. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in helping clients remain safely at home through companionship, assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), and support with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs).

Responsibilities:
Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including:
  • Bathing
  • Dressing
  • Grooming
  • Toileting
  • Mobility and transfer assistance.
  • Provide support with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs), including:
  • Meal preparation and light cooking.
  • Light housekeeping and laundry
  • Medication reminders (no medication administration).
  • Grocery shopping and errands.
  • Transportation to appointments or community activities (if applicable).
  • Offer meaningful companionship and emotional support to reduce isolation and promote mental well-being.
  • Observe and report any changes in client condition, behavior, or environment to the office promptly.
  • Accurately document services provided according to company policies and Delaware PASA requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful home environment.
  • Communicate professionally with families, case managers, and referral partners to ensure coordinated and seamless care.
  • Follow all safety procedures during client transfers and mobility assistance.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in home care, assisted living, nursing homes, or related settings preferred.
  • Understanding of ADLs and IADLs in a non-medical homecare setting.
  • Ability to provide safe mobility and transfer assistance.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within New Castle and Kent Counties.
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
  • Ability to pass background checks in accordance with Delaware regulations.
