Art Director - Retail Story Design
We're looking for an experienced Art Director to lead retail story design and develop innovative, consumer-led concepts for immersive retail environments and experiences.
This is a highly collaborative creative leadership role for someone who can move seamlessly between strategy, concept development, visual storytelling, environmental design, and hands-on execution. You'll lead multiple projects from initial concept through delivery, developing creative solutions that balance consumer needs, brand expression, and business objectives.
What you'll do:
  • Lead creative direction for retail storytelling, displays, environments, and consumer experiences
  • Develop innovative concepts and translate ideas into compelling visual presentations
  • Create and refine 2D design, storyboards, graphics, and production materials
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and senior creative stakeholders
  • Provide design direction and mentorship to junior designers
  • Establish creative standards and scalable solutions for consistent execution
  • Incorporate emerging technology, digital, and interactive experiences where appropriate
  • Manage multiple projects while balancing timelines, budgets, and creative quality

What we're looking for:
  • 8+ years of experience in brand, graphic, environmental, experiential, or retail design
  • 3+ years of creative/team management experience
  • Strong experience with retail storytelling, retail environments, or branded experiences
  • Advanced skills in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Keynote
  • Strong concept development, art direction, presentation, and visual communication skills
  • Ability to sketch and visually communicate ideas from early ideation through design development
  • Experience leading projects from concept through final delivery
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • A strong creative portfolio demonstrating sophisticated visual storytelling and retail/environmental work
