Job description

As the Forklift Driver, you will support and meet the daily operational requirements of the warehouse as an experienced material handler. The Forklift Drivers is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods throughout the facility, including loading and unloading trailers, replenishing product, and performing puta away and picking tasks using material handling equipment.

What You Will Do: 

  • Load and unload trailers/containers utilizing a fork-lift and other Material Handling Equipment (MHE)according to standard operating procedures.
  • Put-away materials and accurately pick product utilizing a pick ticket and/or pick-wave.
  • Read and follow computerized work orders to determine quantities types of products to be shipped and the location of requested items in the warehouse.
  • Complete daily forklift maintenance/check sheet- Fork-lift inspection and Maintenance utilizing personal protective equipment.
  • Check product for quality damage.
  • Communicate missing product or discrepancies to the DC management team.
  • Participate in daily cleanups.
  • Support in the warehouse functions, such as, labeling, unloading containers, auditing and counting inventory as needed.
  • Performs audits of prepared shipments.
  • Maintains staging lanes as well as audits lanes for accuracy.
  • Collaborates with loaders and supervisors to relocate trailers based on assignments.
  • Performs trailer movements as necessary to facilitate loading and unloading operations.
  • Verifies that trailers or trucks are fully loaded and securely fastened before departure from the staging area.
  • Assists in maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of the trailer parking yard by removing debris and trash.
  • Organizes trailers in the yard in a systematic and efficient fashion.
  • Conducts trailer movements for receiving purposes when required.
  • Maintains daily records of trailer relocations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

    Working Conditions

    • Extreme Exposures: Some exposure to loud noises, may work in high precarious or confined places, and have occasional exposure to hazardous materials. Wearing PPE is frequently required
    • Schedule: Typically requires regular office hours, but may occasionally be required to work nights and weekends  
    • Physical Requirements:
      • Lift up to 50 lbs frequently
      • Must be able to stand, walk, sit, hear, and see frequently
      • Must be able to reach with with arms, complete repetitive motions, and climb or balance
      • Must be able to drive

    What we offer: 

    The hourly range for this position is $22.56 - $26.19 per hour. The base hourly rate may vary based on experience, role tenure, performance, industry, and location. Eligibility for the annual performance incentive may apply. Jazwares is a multi-state employer, so the salary range may not apply to other states.
