Collects and evaluates scrap material from various departments to sort as applicable and place into baler to be converted into bales.
Evaluates various types of scrap and strives for optimum salvage.
Operates mechanical equipment in recycling scrap material.
Operates wire binder on baler.
Maintains weight of bales for record keeping.
Places bale in storage area for disposal.
Reports repairs needed for train cars and gondolas to supervisor.
Maintains operation of batteries for all industrial power trucks.
Maintains power truck batteries to prolong the batteries and chargers life.
Maintains records pertaining to the history of chargers on a weekly and batteries on a daily basis.
