Job description

Warehouse Forklift Driver

Together, we save lives. We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Warehouse Forklift Driver to support daily warehouse operations. This role is responsible for operating forklifts, organizing inventory, loading and unloading trucks, preparing shipments, building and securing pallets, and maintaining an organized warehouse environment. The ideal candidate is a team player with strong attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and a commitment to safety and productivity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move products throughout the warehouse.
  • Load and unload inbound and outbound trucks efficiently and accurately.
  • Stock shelves and place inventory in designated warehouse locations.
  • Organize and maintain warehouse storage areas to ensure accessibility and cleanliness.
  • Build, band, shrink-wrap, and secure pallets for shipment.
  • Assist with creating products and preparing materials for transportation.
  • Move raw materials and finished goods to and from production lines as needed.
  • Support packing operations on the silk line and other production areas.
  • Verify product quantities and inspect shipments for accuracy and damage.
  • Follow inventory control procedures and assist with cycle counts when required.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.
  • Perform other warehouse-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous warehouse and forklift operating experience preferred.
  • Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification.
  • Experience loading/unloading trucks and handling palletized freight.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Basic problem-solving skills and a positive work ethic.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to exert 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally to move objects.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, twisting, and lifting throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced warehouse and manufacturing environment.
  • Regular interaction with warehouse, production, and shipping personnel.
  • Use of forklifts, pallet jacks, shrink-wrap equipment, and other warehouse tools.

Preferred Skills

  • Warehouse organization and inventory management experience.
  • Experience banding pallets, creating shipments, and preparing freight for transport.
