Job description

Abbruzzese Brothers Inc is a commercial landscaping and property maintenance company specializing in HOAs, new developments, and property managers. We deliver consistent, professional plant care and site presentation for large-scale accounts.
Seeking a dependable team member to perform annual and seasonal installation, pruning, hand and mechanical weeding, and bed maintenance across commercial properties. This role emphasizes efficiency, safety, uniform standards, and excellent client-facing professionalism on multi-site routes.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform pruning of shrubs, hedges, and small trees to commercial specifications and municipal codes.
  • Remove weeds by hand, wands, and light tools; apply and replenish mulch per job scope.
  • Maintain planting beds: edging, debris removal, soil screening, and spot fertilization.
  • Operate and maintain hand tools and basic power equipment (pruners, loppers, string trimmers, blowers).
  • Follow company service standards, job checklists, and quality-control documentation.
  • Ability to identify annuals and perennials along with proper care skills.
  • Report pest/disease/irrigation issues to crew lead; assist with seasonal cleanups and aeration/overseeding tasks as directed.
  • Load/unload crew truck, handle materials, and maintain organized vehicle and tool inventory.
  • Interact professionally with property managers and client representatives on-site.

Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years’ experience in commercial grounds management, pruning, or similar.
  • Familiarity with commercial pruning techniques and weed control; basic plant ID a must.
  • Ability to follow standardized procedures and complete route-based work efficiently.
  • Capable of outdoor work in varied weather; lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly.
  • Reliable transportation to crew meeting point; punctual and dependable.
  • Valid driver’s license; clean driving record preferred.
  • Certifications (ISA, pesticide applicator, turf/ornamental) a plus.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
