Job description

Kimps Ace Hardware is seeking an hourly rental associate to assist with the manual task throughout the store. Your strong work ethic, reliability and positive attitude will make you an asset to our team.

Essential Functions:

  • Preparing equipment for incoming rental reservations
  • Inspect equipment for damages, check hour meter readings, cleanliness, and fuel level upon return
  • Answer incoming rental phone calls
  • Prepares rental contracts and obtain proper documentation with use of computers (we will provide training on our software).
  • Demonstrate equipment for customers
  • Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment (we will provide training on the proper use of our equipment).
  • Load and unload trailers and trucks
  • Execute deliveries and pick-ups
  • Ability to safely operate power tools
  • Assists with in store sales
  • Other manual labor duties as assigned
  • Job Qualifications:
  • High school or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Willing to work on a weekend rotation
  • Paid overtime during busy seasons
  • Must be able to lift over 50 pounds frequently
  • Must possess the ability to stay on task & complete work in a timely manner
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Willingness to follow company policies
  • Previous experience in customer service (preferred)
  • Experience with equipment (preferred but willing to train)
  • The ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
  • Strong phone communication skills
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Diligent attention to safety
