Role: Senior SQL DBA with AWS ( Architect Level )
Duration: 12 months with extension
Location: Houston, TX
Interview: Video
Hybrid onsite - 2 days a week
AWS experience is a must.
AWS certs are a huge plus
The successful candidate will perform related activities for the development and sustainment for SQL Server and AWS Data Development, ensuring its operational readiness (security, health, and performance) and demonstrate Architect level skills in Complex SQL development to support enterprise critical applications. Must be capable of working independently and collaboratively with the team. Experience in the following:
  • Develop, optimize, and tune complex SQL Code for mission-critical production systems.
  • Mange AWS RDS, PostgreSQL, and Dynamo from development to mission-critical production systems.
  • Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
  • Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations
  • Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
  • Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
  • Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
  • Create and Maintain SSIS and AWS Glue ETL packages
  • Create and maintain SSRS reporting
  • Support High Availability and DR Architecture
