Job description

Gauge Engineering Services is seeking a Senior Staff Radar Systems Engineer to participate in the development of cutting-edge Naval Surface Warfare and Missile Defense Agency C2 and Weapons Systems. Location: Moorestown, NJ Key Responsibilities
• Support the development, integration, and performance analysis of advanced radar and weapons systems
• Utilize Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to perform activities including:
o System trade studies and associated analyses, as well as analyses of alternatives
o System performance modeling and analyses
o System Interface Design and associated Functional Modeling and Decomposition
o Define and verify system requirements
• Develop subsystem integration strategies and end-to-end radar system test plans
• Support radar requirements definition, verification, validation, and performance assessment
• Participation in engineering technical reviews
• Document work and artifacts in Engineering Data SDR
• Work onsite at a Lockheed Martin facility Required Qualifications
• Active Secret security clearance
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in any of the following (or related discipline):
o Systems Engineering
o Computer Engineering / Computer Science
o Electrical Engineering
o Aerospace Engineering
o Mechanical Engineering
o Mathematics
o Physics
• 7-10 years of experience in discipline
• Proficiency in any combination of the following skills: o Unix/Linux Operating Systems
o Integrated Development Environment (e.g., VSCode, Eclipse)
o Git and/or GitLab
o C++
o Java
o Python
o MATLAB
• Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools (e.g., SysML, Cameo)
• Experience working in an Agile environment (e.g., JIRA, Scrum, Atlassian)
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong mathematics, physics, data analysis, or data-mining techniques
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with radar systems, radar subsystems, or radar technologies
• Functional knowledge of radar systems development, including algorithms, data analysis, modeling and simulation, or system performance evaluation
• Laboratory experience (hands on testing, instrumentation, or experimental setups)
• Familiarity with SW reliability, high availability, recovery
• Experience with, or knowledge of, Aegis, missile communications, track filtering, navigation systems, weapon management
• Experience with issue investigation and defect correction
• Experience in containerized development (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes)
• Experience with data analysis (e.g., data mining, statistical analysis, or related tools)
