Job description

SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Typically holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field (or has equivalent work experience).
  • Certification(s) is a plus (i.e. MCSE, CCNA, VMWare).
  • Minimum of 3+ years of E-Commence server operation experiences.
  • Prefer experience with systems analysis/programming, incorporating:
  • Design methodology.
  • A variety of software languages, operating systems, or network protocols.
  • An understanding of industry trends and tools.
  • Prefer specific technical knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Unix, Linux, JBoss, Apache, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of one or more of the following:
    • Infrastructure/server principles and concepts.
    • Application infrastructure and standards.
    • Networking fundamentals.
    • Storage management (i.e. SAN), design and support.
    • Databases (i.e. SQL Server, Oracle, etc.).
    • Middleware technologies (i.e. JBoss, WebLogic,)
  • Ability to translate technical issues into understandable business language for end users.
  • Requires excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Must be comfortable working on Linux and be familiar with monitoring tools such as top, vmstat, sar and be able to analyze process and file management
  • Must be able to write scripts in a shell, perl, python, or JavaScript programming language
  • Possess a basic understanding of Oracle RAC, SQL tuning, and OLTP concepts
  • Experience with a variety of system monitoring applications. (e.g. Sumologic, dynaTrace)
  • Excellent communication skills; feels comfortable working patiently with non-technical business partners
  • Able to solve complex problems efficiently and with minimal assistance
  • Strong Docker experience in building and Monitoring of Docker containers.
