SCOPE OF SERVICES TASKS: • Engineering and administration of Veritas products including Cluster Server, Volume Manager. File System / other clustering & replication technologies. Execute Unix performance related utilities. Engineering and administration of SUN/UNIX/ Linux based systems. Subject matter expert for mission critical Public Safety applications and deployments on SUN/UNIX/Linux based systems. Engineering and administration of SAN storage infrastructure in relations to SUN/UNIX/ Linux based systems. Administration of SUN/UNIX/ Linux based systems on physical and virtual servers as well as software. Administration of servers (experience with Red Hat Linux, Solaris & AIX).Work as part of a team administering: Oracle Database Sun Management Center, MySQL, db2 and oracle database, Experience Percona XtraDB Cluster, Sendmail, Solaris Security, Jumpstart, & LDAP; TIVOLI, BLADELOGIC, NETIQ, VMWARE, DNS, NFS, Solaris Zones, RedHat Satellite Server, etc. Perform OS upgrades and patch installations. Perform scripting (bash/ksh, PERL, Python). Provision bare metal installs, configure, operate, and maintain systems. Provision and manage automation tools for system deployment and maintenance of templates. Administration of ESXi environments, including advanced diagnostics and performance management. MANDATORY SKILLS: All proposed candidates MUST possess at least 14 years of experience as Linux Engineer. The following experience / skills / expertise are also required: • Ansible: o Proficient in creating and managing playbooks for automation. o Experienced in configuring, deploying, and managing systems using Ansible. o Ability to troubleshoot Ansible scripts. • OpenShift: o Skilled in managing and deploying containerized applications on OpenShift. o Understanding of OpenShift architecture, security, and configuration. o Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining OpenShift clusters. • RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux): o Expertise in managing and troubleshooting RHEL-based systems. o Familiar with RHEL subscription management and patching processes. o Knowledge of performance tuning, security hardening, and scripting in RHEL. • Virtualization: o Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware. o Proficient in managing virtual machines and understanding virtualization concepts. o Skilled in optimizing and securing virtualized environments. DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: • Percona: o Knowledge of Percona database solutions, including MySQL and MongoDB. o Experience in database performance tuning and optimization. o Familiarity with Percona monitoring and management tools. • Dialogic XMS: o Understanding of Dialogic XMS (XMS Media Server) architecture and functionality. o Experience in deploying and managing multimedia services using Dialogic XMS. o Ability to troubleshoot and maintain XMS integrations with communication platforms. • TimeKeeper: o Proficiency in configuring and maintaining TimeKeeper for time synchronization. o Knowledge of GPS, PTP, and NTP protocols in TimeKeeper. o Ability to troubleshoot synchronization issues in distributed systems. • Certificates: o Skilled in managing SSL/TLS certificates, including generation and renewal processes. o Familiarity with PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) and certificate-based authentication. o Experience in troubleshooting and implementing secure certificate configurations.
