Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for an acute care teaching hospital, requiring ARRT-R certification and at least 1 year of MRI experience

Details
  • Acute care teaching hospital setting with Level 4 trauma designation
  • Works in the MRI department with a daily caseload of 12 patients in 1 room
  • Evening shift schedule, Monday-Friday from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM
  • Occasional weekend shifts required as needed per department needs
  • On-call required every Wednesday from 11:00 PM to 6:30 AM as well as every 3rd weekend
  • May float within scope between two sister campus locations as needed
  • Uses 1.5T Siemens Avanto MRI scanner
  • Charting is done in Epic (Excellian)
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of MRI experience required
  • ARRT-R and BLS certification required
  • License required if applicable
  • Experience required across outpatient, inpatient, ER, community hospital, and adult ICU settings
  • IV start skills required
  • Epic (Excellian) charting experience preferred
Additional Information
  • First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
  • Local candidates are accepted for this radiology position without radius restriction
  • Requested time off should ideally be no more than 5 days during the assignment
  • Returning staff must have been gone at least 3 months from their last shift worked as a perm employee (staff or per diem) to be eligible
  • Dark gray scrubs required
  • Candidates may float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital as needed
