Position Summary

The mission of the Environmental Scientist is to perform a variety of environmental services, provide environmental assessments, reports, and evaluations for environmental projects.


The essential functions of the Environmental Scientist are to:

Client Perspective:

This perspective focuses on the individual's relationships with clients. It includes metrics such as client satisfaction with your services, personal satisfaction with your relationships, and retention rates of your relationships. 1. Prepare scope and fee proposals for new project opportunities and review with client to gain approval.

2. Maintain communication with the client during project.

3. Maintain client satisfaction through project follow-up after project completion.

4. Seek potential supplementary consulting services with existing clients.

5. Consult with the regulatory agencies in the review of detailed plans, specifications and estimate of cost to ensure conformity with the project scope and design standards.

6. Understand environmental regulations and advise clients.

7. Prepare environmental qualification statements for clients.

8. Serve as a business leader in development of projects for clients.

9. Serve as the Project Manager on existing and new projects, all phases of the project.

10. Oversee the development and selection of new projects and project teams.

2. Prepare basic environmental reports.

3. Provide support in department protocols, guidelines, and standards with regards to environmental reports.

4. Track project expenses for project field supplies and reimbursables.

5. Efficiently manage time towards completion of assignments within schedule and budget.

6. Successfully achieve the financial goals set forth for your position (quality work within project budgets, direct labor hours, etc.).

Qualifications:

โ€ข BS degree in environmental science with 20+ years of experience or MS/MBA with 18 years of experience.
