Job Title: Summer Athletic Camp Coach

Reports To: Camp Director/Athletic Director

Supervises: Student Athletes

About the Position:

  • Schaumburg Christian School (SCS) is seeking an energetic and inspiring leader to serve as a Summer Athletic Camp Coach. This individual will play a key role in fostering a vibrant, Christ-centered athletic environment that encourages student growth and leadership. The position involves overseeing and coordinating summer athletic programs with the goal of enriching the students' skills, character, and spiritual journey through sports.

Athletic Mission:

  • To raise the banner of Christ by using the platform of sports to communicate to others, strive for excellence, and elevate the Conqueror Program through purpose and positivity!


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the school administration to implement summer athletic camp policies and programs.
  • Facilitate a safe, engaging, and competitive training environment.
  • Lead spiritual devotionals and prayers during camp sessions.
  • Develop meaningful relationships with campers to encourage personal growth and teamwork.
  • Serve as the point of contact for camp families, ensuring consistent communication.
  • Design and implement a structured camp schedule to maximize student development.
  • Organize skill-building sessions tailored to various age groups.
  • Oversee games, activities, and team-building exercises during the camp.

Program Development

  • Plan and execute summer camp activities for lower, elementary, and middle school students.
  • Provide opportunities for skill-building, teamwork, and character development.
  • Lead community-building activities and foster a sense of unity among participants and staff.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Prior coaching or athletic experience (preferred).
  • Previous experience working with children or students in an educational or recreational capacity.

  • A practicing Christian and exemplary role model within their faith community.
  • A commitment to the spiritual and academic mission of SCS.
  • Willingness to lead devotionals or chapels as part of the camp's mission.
