IC Security is hiring Transit Ambassadors to support Transit operations. This is a unique security position focused on customer service, safety, and public interaction throughout the transit system.

Unlike traditional security roles, Transit Ambassadors are expected to be customer service professionals first and security professionals second. You will provide assistance to passengers, patrol transit locations, observe and report safety concerns, and help create a safe and welcoming environment for riders and employees.

What You'll Do
  • Ride transit buses and patrol transit facilities.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to riders and visitors.
  • Assist passengers with directions and transit information.
  • Maintain a visible presence to promote safety and security.
  • Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and policy violations.
  • Complete detailed reports and daily activity logs.
  • Work alongside transit staff, supervisors, and law enforcement partners.
  • Utilize de-escalation and conflict-resolution techniques when needed.
  • Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies.
  • Work as part of a two-person Transit Ambassador team.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid California BSIS Guard Card.
  • Current First Aid/CPR/AED Certification.
  • Current Baton Permit/Card.
  • Current Pepper Spray/Gel Permit.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to remain professional and calm in challenging situations.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
  • Successfully pass a background investigation and client approval process.
