Job Description:
Apex Systems is looking to hire an ONSITE API Technical Writer for our client based out of Greensboro, NC.
This assignment is anticipated to be a 6 -12 month contract with potential for extension; however, Apex Systems cannot guarantee the length of this assignment.
Responsibilities:
  • Own and drive the API documentation roadmap, proactively identifying documentation gaps, outdated content, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Build, prioritize, and manage a backlog of documentation enhancements across multiple API portfolios.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive API documentation, including endpoint references, parameters, request/response examples, authentication guidance, error handling, and sample code.
  • Develop user-focused technical content such as tutorials, onboarding guides, FAQs, troubleshooting documentation, release notes, and implementation best practices.

Must Haves:
    • 3+ years as a Technical Writer with a focus on API documentation
    • Understand RESTful API's (integrations, workflows, etc.)
    • Soft skills - someone who is a driver and can delegate
    • Drupal knowledge/exposure is a plus but not required
