RockForce Operations has Workforce Divisions throughout the U.S. providing Union and Non-Union Labor, including experienced Riggers for live events and permanent installs. Rigging Solutions are executed with unmatched safety, skill, and reliability supported by a leadership team with decades of hands-on experience in live events labor.
RockForce is currently hiring, on-demand Riggers (Up and Down) for live events in your area. Applicants with experience in live events production is required.
JOB SUMMARY
Riggers ensure that all rigging systems are safely and effectively installed, operated, and dismantled while also adhering to set industry standards and regulations for safety compliance. This physical labor role requires both technical and practical knowledge, a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, timeliness, and the ability to work in various environments.
Duties/Responsibilities
Depending on needs, one or more of the following duties may be assigned:
Event Setup & Breakdown:
  • Ensure safe install, use & strike of rigging equipment.
  • Hang points, call bridles, tie knots.
  • Hang soft goods & hard set pieces.
  • Strike equipment upon completion of event.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

On-Site Event Support:
  • Spot Ops or work at height requiring a harness.
  • During ROS (depending on event and structure) may be asked to do changes or corrections for vendors on site.
  • In case of inclement weather - assist with getting gear and structures secure.

Safety & Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with venue or site regulations, following industry standards.
  • Identify and report any faulty equipment or safety hazards.
  • Always maintain a safe and organized work area.
  • Always adheres to safety standards for rigging equipment and uses safe working methods.

Qualifications & Skills
  • 3 years of previous experience in live event production as a Rigger required.
  • Technical & Practical knowledge of rigging tools, techniques, & Safety standards.
  • Rigging gear including climbing helmet, 5-point harness with fall protection, & rope.
  • Able to lift and carry heavy equipment (50lbs+).
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Able to multitask while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations for live event production.
  • Must have OSHA 10 or higher for consideration.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Audio/Video/Lighting & Staging equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of stage plots, lighting diagrams, and production schedules.
