100% Instructional Duties: Teach 3-6 hours of Graduate or Undergraduate level courses in Health, Sport & Exercise Sciences programs in either:

• Exercise Science
• Community Health
• Health and Physical Education
• Sport Management

Plan and organize course to include syllabus preparation, textbook acquisition. Maintain office hours, give exams, grade exams, and maintain a grade book.

• As an instructor for the university, primary duties and responsibilities include: teaching in a specific field, developing course materials, developing and managing syllabi, creating lectures and assignments, grading student work, advising students and holding office hours.  
• All instructors are expected to collaborate with colleagues, be current in the field, and are required to adhere to departmental, school/college and university polices and procedures. 

,The University of Kansas Department of Health, Sport and Exercise Sciences invites applicants to submit applications for part-time positions as course instructors for graduate and undergraduate level courses. Amount of work required can vary by position and will range in FTE.
Candidates will be reviewed and placed in a pool for consideration as openings arise.  Applications will be accepted throughout the year and appointments will be made as needed.  Please be advised that need for instructors varies from year to year.  All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.  
The Instructor is an instructional, adjunct faculty position that is not eligible for tenure or promotion in rank. This is a term appointment for the Fall  2026 semester. Renewal will be based upon unit needs and funding as well as performance that meets expectations, not to exceed two continuous semesters.
