What You'll Do:
  • Push cart of panels to machine/follow Zone integrity.
  • Remove panel from stack and position with flange under sewing machine foot.
  • Check ticket for sizing and measure panel
  • Activate machine and sew flange to panel and overcast edge in one operation around perimeter of panel.
  • Insert and sew in legal label and production ticket on every other panel.  Mark ID on tickets
  • As required: add thread, roll of flange material, replace needles, oil machine, fix thread breaks and aside scrap.
  • Observe stitching to detect defects and repair accordingly and check panel before and after sewing for flaws in materials and stitching
  • Notify production supervisor when defects are caused by machine malfunction.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area
How You'll Do It:
  • Ability to sort items along with good organizational skills
  • Good hand/eye coordination
  • Demonstrated proficiency in at least three positions.
  • Must be able to comprehend and follow work instructions, loading schedules and production tickets. Must be able to understand and follow verbal instructions; communicate with coworkers and management clearly and respectfully; and work in an ever-changing, fast-paced team environment.
What You'll Bring:
  • Basic ability to read and write English
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Demonstratedability and willingness to work safely, take initiative, multi-task, and work both independently and as a part of a team. Work experience with pneumatic tools and/or in a manufacturing environment preferred.
