This position requires supervision of Security Officers. You will be responsible for the planning, organization and direction of a mixed portfolio of accounts to ensure services exceed each client’s expectations. You will effectively maintain existing client relationships while promoting growth of new business within the market.

Essential Duties:

  • On call 24/7. Phones, emails, and text are expected to be answered promptly, responding to emergencies without delay.
  • Responsible for the execution of client contracts.
  • Completion of district manager reports in the GDI Security Services reporting system.
  • Responsible for developing professional relationships with clients.
  • Timely response to client requests for meetings or other items they may need to be addressed.
  • Regular site visits at various times of the week/weekend to ensure staffing is adequate, to ensure officer adherence to uniform requirements, post orderliness, and inspection of post orders to ensure the orders are up to date.
  • Must be able to travel to locations outside of district to assist with the start up of new contracts.
  • Maintain the staffing of security officers at all sites through posting ads, reviewing applicants, interviewing, onboarding, and assignment to client sites.
  • Ensure officers are trained and able to execute site specific post orders.
  • Coach site supervisors in areas that may need improvement.
  • Lead by example in all aspects of the role of District Manager.
  • Prepare weekly payroll and billing.
  • Proficient in computer skills and programs utilizing spread sheets for payroll and billing.
  • Must be eligible to obtain NY Security Officer licensing.
  • Some overnight travel may be required. Must be able to travel within the Northeast Region of the US, and nationwide during emergencies and for national business needs such as site startups.
  • Some knowledge of Union processes is desired, as several client locations are staffed by Union Members.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in law enforcement, military or multi-building security leadership.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and make sound decisions in stressful situations.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to show judgment and to work independently.
  • High integrity and discretion required
  • Must have driver's license
