EIS Holding, LLC, is one of the largest providers of turnkey environmental services in the country, providing soil and groundwater remediation, asbestos and lead abatement, demolition, mold remediation, and air duct cleaning.
Position Description - Laborer
Business Group/Dept: Operations
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Supervisor
Date: December 15, 2024
Purpose of the Position
Perform manual labor tasks to support construction, demolition, and cleanup activities. The Laborer ensures the efficient and safe completion of assigned duties while adhering to company policies and safety standards.
Essential Position Responsibilities
  • Perform manual labor duties, including site preparation, material handling, debris removal, and basic construction tasks as directed by supervisors.
  • Use hand tools and light equipment (e.g., shovels, brooms, wheelbarrows) safely and efficiently. Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment.
  • Assist in setting up and breaking down work areas. Maintain a clean and organized job site by removing debris, sweeping, and disposing of waste properly.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Adhere to site-specific safety rules and report any hazards or incidents to supervisors promptly.
  • Work as part of a team to complete tasks efficiently. Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Load, unload, and transport materials or equipment to and from job sites. Ensure proper handling to avoid damage or injury.
  • Provide assistance to other trades or specialized teams on-site as needed, ensuring smooth project execution.

Physical activities: Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials up to 50 pounds regularly, with occasional heavier loads.
