Summary:
The Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting the branch manager in the daily operations of a retail Credit Union branch office that develops and grows member relationships, promotes products and services, and delivers efficient operations.
Education and/or Experience:
  • High School Diploma required
  • Minimum of three years branch banking experience required as an individual contributor
  • Microsoft Word and Excel skills required
  • Commissioned notary or can successfully obtain a notary commission in the state where you work within six months of starting in the role required
  • Spanish language skills preferred

Job Responsibilities:
  • Performs routine branch opening, closing, member service, and other operational tasks and activities
  • Assumes responsibility for the supervision of the branch office during the manager's absence
  • Coach staff to cross-sell and track achievement against sales goals, and provide training on sales techniques
  • Helps branch manager in achieving financial, operational, and customer satisfaction goals for the branch
  • Resolves member or operational issues
  • Coordinates with other Credit Union teams to promote products and represents the Credit Union during community events
  • Supports portfolio growth by helping to identify opportunities to deepen relationships and increase member acquisition
  • Ensures members receive optimal service and monitor/adheres to operational controls
  • Utilizes various systems to access financial, and production reports to assess branch performance and to make business decisions to promote profitability as well as the achievement of goals.
  • Ensures compliance with Teachers policies and procedures
  • Perform all duties inherent in the role of a supervisor
  • Perform other duties as needed upon request by immediate supervisor
