Union New American is currently hiring HOST to join our team.
Union New American, located at the Westshore City Center in Tampa, is the latest restaurant in the Next Level Brands portfolio. Union New American will be a go-to for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch with globally inspired fare. Guests can also enjoy a private event space on the second floor.
Job Summary
A Guest Service host is responsible for exceeding the Guests’ expectations by providing them with friendly, prompt and attentive service that is tailored to the Guests. Host maintain the reservations and wait lists and are able to provide accurate wait times to the Guests. Hosts seat the guests while ensuring a smooth handoff to service staff. The Host is responsible to answer phones in a prompt and professional manner and answer questions and direct calls as applicable.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Experience working in a high-volume restaurant a plus.
  • Passion for creating memorable moments of hospitality for our guests.
  • Strong communication skills to build trusting relationships with peers and Guests.
  • Ability to understand, speak and follow written and verbal instruction in English
  • Strong attention to detail and well organized

Physical Requirements
  • Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks including constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time.
  • Must have the ability to lift, push, pull approximately 25lbs.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for up to 10 hours during a single shift, while possibly navigating ramps, stairs, and elevators.
