Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Welding Inspector to join our team, specializing in construction projects across the United States. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding inspection, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

District Overview

TIC Power (TICP) is a subsidiary of Kiewit Corporation that provides direct-hire construction services for Power Generation utilizing a non-union craft force. Strength in estimating and pre-project planning. Constructing cogeneration, combined-cycle, geothermal and waste-to-energy generation and resource facilities. TIC Power builds major EPC power plant projects throughout North America.

Location

This position is a traveling position.  Candidates will need to be open to traveling to different projects across the US.  Per Diem and travel home will be a part of the total offer package.

Responsibilities

    Conduct thorough inspections of welding work on construction sites to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
    Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure proper welding procedures are followed.
    Perform visual and non-destructive testing (NDT) to assess the quality and integrity of welds.
    Document inspection results, prepare detailed reports, and communicate findings to project managers and other stakeholders.
    Ensure all welding activities comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
    Collaborate with construction teams to address and resolve any welding-related issues or discrepancies.
    Provide guidance and training to welding personnel to promote best practices and continuous improvement.
    Travel to various job sites across the United States as required.

Qualifications

    Minimum of 5 years of experience in welding inspection, preferably on electrical or civil or mechanical or concrete construction projects.
    Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification is required.
    Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a related field is preferred.
    Strong knowledge of welding codes, standards, and inspection techniques.
    Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    Willingness to travel extensively to job sites across the United States.
