Position Overview

We are currently seeking a highly reliable and physically active Unarmed Security Officer to join our team in Boca Raton/Pompano Beach FL. This position is ideal for a former military service member/law enforcement looking to contribute to church safety and community food pantry program in a visible, disciplined, and impactful role.

This is a permanent assignment, Sundays 9:30 AM-3:30 PM with opportunities for additional hours. Officers will be stationed at a church campus where professionalism, presence, and proactive deterrence are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain a safe and secure campus environment for clergy and guests

Conduct active patrols of church grounds and access points

Monitor entry/exit areas and enforce visitor access control procedures

Respond to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies swiftly and effectively

Must be capable of patrolling actively outside on foot

Deter and detect potential threats through active presence and situational awareness

Required Qualifications

U.S. Military service preferred

Valid Florida Class D Security License

Experience in church, school or institution security preferred

CPR/First Aid Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

Must be physically capable of standing, patrolling

Excellent verbal communication and de-escalation skills

Must pass background check and drug screening

Neatly groomed appearance

Must be able to successfully pass a firearms proficiency test

Schedule

Sunday 9:30am -3:30pm
