Job description

Under the supervision of the Health Physics Manager, the Health Physics Associate will be responsible for performing laboratory radiation safety audits, radiation safety audit reporting and metrics, patient surveys, instrument calibrations, radiation emergency response, decommissioning and lab closeouts, and UAB's Generally Licensed Devise (GLD) program.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in physical science (biology, chemistry, physics, environmental science or related), nuclear medicine, nuclear engineering or a related field and three (3) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
Driving record should meet University underwriting guidelines to drive vehicle in performance of University business. Current underwriting guidelines include possession a valid driver s license, issued in the United States; at least 21 years of age; at least three years of driving experience; maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
