Volunteer Responsibilities May Include:

  • Opening the program space for Wednesday distribution
  • Greeting families and individuals with kindness and respect
  • Providing new participants with the intake form
  • Making sure forms are completed properly
  • Helping identify the correct sizes for underwear and bras
  • Checking whether a family has already received supplies for the year
  • Preparing and distributing the proper amount of hygiene products
  • Helping keep supplies organized and the space welcoming
  • Protecting the privacy and dignity of every participant

Ideal Volunteers Are:

  • Compassionate and respectful
  • Dependable and organized
  • Comfortable working with people from different backgrounds
  • Able to maintain confidentiality
  • Patient, welcoming, and nonjudgmental
