Job Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair underground electrical distribution systems.
- Assist with conduit installation, cable pulling, trenching, vaults, transformers, and related underground utility work.
- Read and follow job prints, maps, work orders, and construction drawings.
- Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and utility equipment safely.
- Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and job site rules.
- Identify potential hazards and report safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Work as part of a crew to complete assigned projects efficiently and safely.
- Maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, and work areas in clean and safe condition.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous underground lineman, utility construction, or electrical distribution experience preferred.
- Knowledge of underground electrical systems, conduit, cable pulling, transformers, and utility construction methods preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
- CDL preferred but not required unless specified by the company.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. or more as needed.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work well with a crew.
- OSHA, CPR/First Aid, or equipment operation certifications are a plus.
