Job description

RP Constructors is looking for a hardworking Underground Laborer
to join our team! RP Constructors finds value in previous work experience, leadership, attention to detail, and safety awareness.


Responsibilities and Duties

· Prepare and assemble pipe (storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water lines, etc.)

· Maintain proper line and grade

· Coordinate bedding amounts and grade

· Actively look for spots that are off grade or soft

· Handle and transport materials and equipment

· Use power tools and machinery when needed 

· Work to meet project completion timelines

· Clearing the worksites of any stones, debris, and equipment before and after work

· Ability to read and understand development plans

· Be familiar with and follow health and safety protocols


Requirements

· Must be able to work long, flexible hours including weekends in a variety of weather conditions

· Must be detail-oriented

· Able to lift and carry heavy loads

· Able to identify materials, assist in load/unloading materials, and coordinate transportation of resources to different worksites

· Good communication, interpersonal skills, and a team play

· Willingness to travel to different locations and work in a variety of weather conditions


Preferred

· Previous experience in the construction industry 

· Knowledge of industry safety and health protocols

· Familiarity with hand and power tools like shovels, rakes, mixers, forklifts, and power washers

· Excellent physical dexterity and a keen eye for detail
